Questions
Why do websites disagree about CBD laws?
Most don't date their answers, and the rules moved a lot in 2025 and 2026. Texas alone changed three times in eleven months. Check the date and the source behind any answer, including ours.
How often do CBD laws change?
Often right now. The federal definition of hemp changes on November 12 and December 11, 2026, and states keep adding rules of their own. The date on each block shows when that state was last checked, and every change we find is logged here with its date.
Is delta-8 illegal on November 12 or December 11?
December 11 for delta-8 made from CBD. November 12 only covers cannabinoids the plant can't make at all, like THC-O. The full breakdown is in our federal hemp ban guide. Read it here.
